The terraced gardens with extensive plantings of boxwood transport you to another time and place.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n Construction on the Cheekwood Mansion<\/a> began in 1929 and the family moved in just before Thanksgiving of 1932. The diverse sculptures, many of which were commissioned for Cheekwood, each examine the relationship between art and nature in their own distinct way, creating beautiful, thoughtful dialogues with the surrounding landscape.
